It’s been so long since 2018… and we’re told this is not a reboot… the ‘Transcendence’ writer would join original trilogy producers Ellen Goldsmith-Vein, Lee Stollman, Wyck Godfrey, and Marty Bowen, as well as director Wes Ball, for an installment described as a continuance of the franchise.

Director James Gunn revealed the first look on Threads, stating that the photo, ‘was taken on set by Jess Miglio and was entirely in-camera;’ the film flies into theaters July 11, 2025. 

Production will resume this month on ‘The Boys’ spinoff after the actor was killed in a March motorcycle accident – producers promise to ‘honor Chance and his legacy’ in the coming season.

The third installment in the decades-spanning sci-fi franchise also stars Jared Leto, and is penned by Jesse Wigutow, with ‘Maleficent: Mistress of Evil’ director Joachim Rønning set to direct.

Created in 1959 by René Goscinny and Albert Uderzo, the beloved French comic series follows Asterix and Obelix and their antics in Gaul, an outpost of resistance against the Roman empire. 

Zoinks! Josh Appelbaum and Scott Rosenberg will pen the script, which, if approved, is guaranteed a straight-to-series order with the streamer.

The final season of the post-apocalyptic fairytale, based on Jeff Lemire’s groundbreaking DC comic, promises viewers a thrilling climax that will determine the fate of humanity; new episodes premiere globally June 6.
